Tripel

Tap at Hoppy Corner, Paris, 8th February 18. Pours almost clear, slight haze to it. Aroma is yeast, aromatic, citrus. Taste is fresh grass, yeast, malt, citrus. Refreshing muck, like it.

On tap at Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà. Hazy, orange color, with a big, frothy, white head and excellent lacing. Floral hops, butterscotch, chalk, sourdough, and a bit of orange peel. Sweet and estery, with a crisp and light bitterness. Medium to heavy body, creamy, grainy, and sharp. This is a solid, interesting, and heavy tripel. Nice.

Color anaranjado corona de espuma blanca, aromas especiados y maltosos, cuerpo medio con final dulce.

Dec. ’16. On tap at Open Baladin, Rome. It poured a hazy yellow body with bigger head. Weaker aroma of vanilla, fruity-estery yeast and touch of cloves. Flavor was very pleasant, lightly on the sweeter side with vanilla and biscuit malt, maybe even toasted like caramel, some orange peel, black pepper, especially towards the finish and estery Belgian notes of peach, banana and everything in between. Medium to full body. Finish was long, smooth, lightly warming with vanilla and biscuit dominating while being a bit more dry with already mentioned pronounced spicy note in the aftertaste. Orange peel turned into grapefruit peel in the finish, although it wasn’t too prominent unfortunately. Nice to see such a complex tripel outside of Belgium. Although it might be a bit messy and I would like a tad less sweetness, it was a very pleasant one indeed.

Draught @ Brassierie 4:20 as "Extraomnes tripel tripel." Aroma is a bit offensive with urinal cake, citrus and biscuits. Flavour is somewhat tart with citrus, toffee, apricot and mild spicy tones. Also some alcohol in the aftertaste. Too stuffy and too much alcohol, but not bad still.

Pale golden color with a good formation of a white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of yeast, light citrus, and fruits. Flavor slightly sweet with a good presence of alcohol but well hidden with yeasty, bready and fruity notes. The final is mild alcoholic with a light sweetness. Nice!!

From tap at Bir&Fud, Rome. Hazy yellow golden color with white head. Citrusy, funky, yeasty and malty aroma. Sweet fruity taste. Light to medium body, oily, average carbonation, bitter finish.

Appearance is golden, fairly clear, a big white head which eventually settles down leaving plenty of lacing. Aroma- very fruity, banana and orange, zesty, malty, spicy. Taste- more bitter than expected, malts, fruity, medium mouthfeel but quite clingy, bitter hoppy finish. Very good.
