Bottle at GBBF 2011, Day 1, shared with Ken and Paul. Pours a clearish, golden-red with a mild, foamy head. Dusty malt nose, slight tang evident. Mild earth in the flavor, some toast, bit of toffee, pleasant sweetness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Toast and faint smoke to finish, light caramel. Nice. Chestnuts don’t get no respect.

Bottle at GBBF 2011. It pours orange-amber, with a thin foamy beige head. The nose is orange, smoke, bonfire, farmyard and light sourness. The taste is tart orange, cream soda, lemon, mango, apricot and wood with a dry finish. Moderate body and soft carbonation. An interesting beer.

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 warehouse. Cloudy amber beer. Good frothy cream head. Crisp. Lightly sour and lightly smoked. Tart orange and generic fruit. Finishes dry. Interesting contrast of smoke and fresh fruit!

Bottled. An amber beer with sediment floating around under a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet matly with notes of caramel and light notes of smoke. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of caramel, leading to a dry finish with notes of oranges. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.

Nearly no head; copper-amber ale. Nose of too-deep fried fries, fatty acids, burnt. Acids in the taste, but not really sour. Faint flour taste. Slight astringency, medium bodied. Nowhere pleasing beer, spoiled chestnuts.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber golden with floating impurities. Smal and creamy off-white head. Aroma of lightly tart fruit. Light body with dry caramel notes and a dry and lightly tart finish. Again traces of infection. 290508

Bottle 75cl @ [ Mafioso Blind Tasting @ yespr, Bottle #21.]Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is sour, smokey notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and sour milk with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Clearly infected IMO. (300508)
