Cloudy, smooth and mellow, the Blanche de Namur is a wheat beer of the highest quality. From the first sip, you feel all the roundness and delicacy that make it an exceptional beer. Its qualities and the "know-how" of the brewery.
A true model of its kind, both floral and fruity, with subtle hints of coriander and orange peel. The nose is fresh, rather delicate. Serve cool, not cold, to enjoy the flavor and accentuate the elegant bitterness that wraps around the mouth throughout the tasting.

0,33 l bottle. Pours hazy light straw with a couple fingers of thick lasting head. Aroma of banana, yeast, wheat, light clove, orange and banana. Flavor is orange and coriander, a bit of clove and yeast. Taste is light sweet, very light bitter and very slightly sour. Body is light, texture thin, carbonation quite lively. Finish is medium, quite sweet, coriander. Light acidity makes it very refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy pale yellow pour, one finger soapy slightly off-white head. Medium retention, medium lacing. Herbal nose with strong lemon and lime presence. Light body, high carbonation. Very prickly on the tongue. Watery texture and mouthfeel. Sourish taste, lots of fruity notes of lime and lemon. Yeast. Herbal background, usual coriander notes. Somewhat dusty. Wheat and grass, very mild bitterness towards the finish. Feels a bit empty, some dull cardboard presence in the aftertaste. Tart. Medium dry. Overall, good example of the style but nothing to really get excited about. Textbook witbier.

25/08/2017 - bottle @ La Reine Blanche. Hazy pale yellow with nice creamy white head. Nose is grainy, fruity, spices, some yeast. Taste is refreshing, grains, low sourness, citrus, spices. One of the best witbiers I had lately. Nicely balanced but tempting enough.

Pours murky blond from the bottle. The big foamy white head slowly settles. Aroma of clove, orange juice, coriander. Taste is lightly sweet with an underlying tartness that strengthens in the finish. Body stays lightish, carbonation is prickly. Overall a nice example of the style. Refreshing.

Flaske 330ml fra Obs Tromsø. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Gusjegulbrun. Høyt kremaktig skum. Ser ut som grapefruktjuice. Lett fruktaroma. Smaken parfyme. No good!
