330ml bottle at home. Couldnt find the BB date. yellow clear color, obvious carbonation. small white head. smells lemongrass, citric notes, herbs, light sweetness, sweet herbs, lightly acidic. quite nice smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, acidic, herbs again, light sweetness, tobacco, bitter herbs, lemongrass. finishes quite dry and with some bitterness from herbs and lemongrass. good stuff, nicely balanced.

Pours clear golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma is fruity, touch of wood and pepper. Clean and dry mouthfeel. Taste is moderate dry, yellow fruits and apples, with a light peppery, hoppy finish. A nice one!

Undated bottle, purchased from Marty’s Newton, drunk 8/16/15.
Clear, dark golden body is topped by a very large white head showing good retention.
Well, guess this one sat on the shelf too long....Incredibly oxidized. The flavor is sweet, too much so, seemingly, with massive esters, phenols and dominating oxidation. Again, had the brewery bothered to put any sort of date on the bottle, this may have been prevented. That being said, I’ve had very old bottles of Saison Dupont that have sat on the shelves for a long time and were still wonderful. Dunno. Heard a lot of good things about this one, so will certainly try again. Guess it’s not one to age....

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy golden straw with a small white head. Light grain aromas with some white pepper, lemon and grassy hops. Taste is more of the same. Quite bitter on the palate for a saison. Nice lemon zest and white grapefruit pith in there as well. Almost has a pilsner like Saaz hoppiness on the finish.

Bottle. Curious Hop, Otley. Cap came off in silence. Clear, green tinged, gold. No head. Lemon. Bread. A bit pissy. Missus gets plastic milk. Which isn’t a sentence I’ve used before, I’d wager. Taste is fusty lemon sweet. Some privet bitterness. Low carbonation. Feels a bit oily. Not as it’s intended, probably. One I’d try again, though. Just to check.

75cl through Belgoklubben. Hazy yellow, gigantic rocky white foam, dissipates rather quick leaving some lacings. Fruity and estery aroma of citrus, grass, slight orange, yeasty tones, hay. Taste is rustic with an apparent dry texture, citrus, grassy hops, slight bitter. Medium body, medium carbo with sharp bubbles. More of a rustic saison, me like. Recommended to have at 2-4 degree celsius, but I personally think that the flavours became more evident at a slight higher temperature. Solid.
Tamelijk flets van smaak maar het drinkt vlot door
