Celebrating the General Store's 25th Anniversary!!! This take on Biere de Garde (beer for keeping) is copper colored, full-bodied, has a rich toasty malt flavor, with a zip of noble hops, and a surprisingly dry finish for a beer this large.

750mL bottle poured into tulip glass (Belgian Independence Ommegang/Duvel). Dark brown with ruby tints. Big head that fades into surface covering lacing. Aroma: nonsweet baked goods crust - moderate. Light rustic and even spice (maybe peppery yeast). Flavor is similar with a very clean sweetness and light. What a nice treat of a beer. In need to get more from this brewery.
