Pours a fairly clear dark ruby color, topped with a fair off-white head, pinkj undertone. Nicely lasting. Quite soury aroma, vinegar and cellar-like. Missing the fruity notes, sadly. Taste is sweet and soury, nice soury cherry feel, though not so fruity as one would expect. Fresh and failry light. Nice summer refreshment. Decent.

Bottle, as Kriek des Jacobins. Pours clear ruby, small beige-pink head, dissipates quickly but with good lacing. Aroma is cherries, hint of fecal matter, funk. Flavor is pretty sweet, light tart, cherries, very light funkiness. Medium body. Eh. Pretty beer, but not really much backing it up.

As Kreik des Jacobins. Red with a pink head. Aroma is slightly wheaty, but mostly cherries and marzipan. Soft drink texture. Quite sweet at first, then an underlying tartness creeps up to just about share the honours. The cherries are pretty plain and so’s the beer underneath (or perhaps it’s masked by the cherries). Some herbal notes, not much sign of almonds or apricot stones until it warmed a bit. Really improved as it warmed.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/8/2015. Pours crystal clear dark ruby red color with a 1-2 finger dense pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of sweet/tart cherry, plum, apple, lemon, red grape, brown sugar, toasted oak, pepper, hay, straw, grass, light musty funk, light vanilla/leather, and yeast/oak earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, cherry, oak barrel, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of sweet/tart cherry, plum, apple, lemon, red grape, brown sugar, toasted oak, pepper, hay, straw, grass, light musty funk, light vanilla/leather, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, plum, apple, lemon, red grape, brown sugar, toasted oak, pepper, hay, straw, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, cherry, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from acidity/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/acidic, and lightly grainy/creamy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very good standard fruit lambic. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, cherry, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

330ml bottle pours out a hazy red topped with a ring of a head. nose is big sweet cherries some light tart notes but lots of sweetness. taste is more of the heavy cherries big sweetness and a little barrel sour.

Bottle/Fest. A- Cherry, tart. A- Pink color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Cherry, sweet, refreshing, slightly sour. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, soft finish. O- Solid stuff. Refreshing, a bit tart, and a decent cherry flavor.

At horecabeurs 2015. Pours deep, dark red. Small white head. Smell is intense, sweet cherrie. Taste is cherrie sweetness, with a very mild sour back. OK mf and avg carbo.
