From a 12 oz can. Pours black with a tan head. Aromas are cinnamon and vanilla. Flavors are bitter roast coffee.
Bitter chocolate, hint of spice, boozy. Difficult to follow up that Veil. Thanks NFB.

12 ounce can. Opaque black pour. Brief creamy tan head. Interesting roasted malt aroma hints at cinnamon, vanilla and toasted nuts. Flavor is roasted malt, cinnamon, cocoa and chili’s. Some bittersweet dark chocolate in middle. Bitter, peppery notes in finish.

12 oz can, poured opaque almost black with a hint of tan head. Full bodied. Cinnamon, chocolate, chilis in the aroma. Taste was quite sweet, consistent with what the aroma advertised. Burnt malt finish. Tasty.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of cinnamon, with cocoa, vanilla beans, and some spicy peppers. Flavour is full of cinnamon and chili peppers, followed by dark chocolate, and light vanilla. Finishes on cinnamon and chocolate. Fun stuff but too many spicy adjuncts for me.

Taster on Black Christmas #7. Appearance: very dark brown. Aroma: ancho peppers, a bit sweet. Taste: along the same lines with roasted malt notes. Overall: pretty good

Draft at brewery. Spices kill the head. Definitely has ancho flavor but barely any heat. Not a BOG beer but a big beer. A thicker body, smoother. Has some sweet leftover sugars. The ancho helps with that. Works for me.
