From the brewery: our attempt at a classic red ale from West Flanders. Red to brown in color, this sour beer is moderate in lactic acidity, with a touch of acetic acid and notes of both green anf candied apple. This beer has been aged a long time. Lost Rhino has now brewed 1400 gyles (batches) of beer at the beginning of August (2017) and this batch number was 736, aged in red wine barrels for that whole period.

Snallygaster 2017. Lots of thick woodsy basement and acetic. Messy sour red. Though a little faint strawberry, which is nice. 737315

6 oz pour on draft at Snallygaster 2017 shared. Murky amber. Aromas of oak, cherries. Tastes of cherry, oak. Light body with a dry finish.

Cherry, plum and some bretta and lime like autumn fruit baskets. Pretty good balance. Pours ruby without much head or lacing. Tangy finish. Tap at Snally.

Draft at Snallygaster 2017. Poured a clear, but dark ruby red color with small white head. Aroma was light tartness, light cherry notes. Flavor was light sour cherry skins. Actually decent sour.
