Here we celebrate spring at Exit 12, a place where many German immigrants settled in the 19th and 20th centuries. German beer culture always celebrates the season with a Maibock – a beer that balances the richness of winter beers with the lightness of warmer weather offerings. Our version is a rich, full-bodied straw-colored lager showcasing pilsner malt and German noble hops. Malt flavors and aromas predominate while the hops add spicy overtones, but little bitterness.

Flight at brewery. Clear dark gold macro color. Aroma is a very lemony and in green cut grass/hay. A little creamy cereal. Flavor has a little sweet cereal with very light earthy German hops. A light sweet and bitter finish. Decent stuff.

750 ml bottle. Brassy gold color topped by a small creamy white head. Toasted malt aroma. Floral hop notes. Bittersweet malt flavor hints at sweet toast. Herbal hops with a touch of spicy sweetness. Fruity middle. Spicy finish. Tasty.
