This luscious and dark Belgian-inspired ale has rich roasted malt flavors that interplay with a spicy fruitiness from the unique yeast strain.

Very dark brown with orange highlights and a large foamy tan head that lingered and left excellent lacing. Toasty with dark fruit, yeast and anise. Long finish. Medium body.

Dark brown, almost black. A little too clean. Some grainy Belgian malt, but well restrained esters. Some of the dark malts help. For a brewpub, decent.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark clear ruby red color with a medium tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of toffee, berries and smoke. The taste is rich malty notes, raisins, smoke, bitter roasted malts, berries and a faint alcohol note. Medium-full bodied. Nice beer.
