Bottle - Batch 8 - Flowery with fruit esters. Hazy gold with a rich but small beige head. Bitter with lots of flowery notes, fruit esters and a nice sweetness. The salt is there but in the background and enhances the bitterness.

From a bottle, consumed January 2014. I didn’t realize this had some age on it when I purchased it. Opaque orange color and a thick head. Citrus and grapefruit aromas, also also flowers. Very earthy flavor, and dry with hops. An excellent fusion between a Belgian ale and a saison.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar SF. A clear one, well almost, golden in color and with a small, white head. The aroma is lightly sugary, mostly fruity, and with a nice grassy and herbal touch. The flavor has a nice bitterness, some sugary malts and herbal hints. Dry, medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Lasting bitterness in the dry finish. Perhaps a little bit one dimensional, but tasteful, quenching and moreish. Well worth a revisit. 130805

26.06.2013, 0,35l bottle @ The Cannibal NY:
Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, caramel malts, hay, grass, salt, hints of smoke and chlorine maybe. Taste is like drinking highly chlorined water on holiday. Also burnt caramel, grass, salt, hay, oak and hints of smoke. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Pretty awful really.

Tap. Pours hazy golden amber with a medium off-white head and great lacing. Aroma is mild honey and floral notes. Flavor is very floral, lightly sweet with a floral finish and minimal bitterness. Light body, creamy texture, light astringence. An odd one, for sure.

7 5 cl. bottle // 2009 Vintage // Hilariously BBF 01/11/2014 07:34h (local time?) // split with Kraddel. A bière de garde according to the bottle. 0.015 % salt. Bright orange, white head. Oranges, mellow sourness, almost geuze-like in the nose, marmalade, orange zest with a touch of green bell pepper. Taste is lactic sour funk, unintentional infection, BFM style, touch bitter in the back, barnyard, hay, orange & lemon zest, mineral, touch grass, could go further & become geuze, green bell pepper,… Medium, tad yeasty, strongly unintentional,…
