Superb golden ale from the Maes brewery. Clear gold, strong complex flavours with a dry aftertaste. Not to heavy in body and quite lively. Should suit the British palate well. Best served in it's own glass. 8,5% alc. Serving temperature 16 •c

Servida en tulipa, color dorado con destellos anaranjados, espuma blanca de mediana retención. Aroma rico con carácter belga, levadura, malta, especias, plátano...mmmh En boca es completa, dulce y amarga, notas de cereal, malta, bizcocho recién hecho, piel de naranja, especias, lúpulo...Estoy de acuerdo en que no es la mejor cerveza belga, y entre sus rivales en el estilo las hay que por mucho la superan, pero para mi es una delicia, y no tengo ningún reparo en volver a ella las veces que haga falta. Nicht nur für Satan gibt. es ein belgisches Bier, sondern auch Judas. Es ist ein schönes, süßes Blonde mit feiner, sehr lang anhaltender Schaumkrone. Neben den Honig 🍯 und Lebkuchen-Aromen kommt hinten etwas Anis, Zimt und Vanille raus. Mir persönlich ist es zu süß, aber aufgrund der gut komponierten Gewürzaromen finde ich es doch ganz gut.

Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig, leicht hefig, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle, drank on Eurostar June 2018. Pours clear orange with a frothy off-white head. Aroma: bread, light doughy notes, booze. Taste: moderate sweet & light to moderate bitter, dry-ish, fruity esters, candy sugar. Medium body with frothy carbonation

@home poured into a tulip glass. Yeasty nose. Slightly unclear deep golden colour, tall creamy white head, slowly and unevenly diminishing, some lacing. Aroma sweet malt, yeast, banana, light spices, some honey, hay. Taste light light heavy sweet, light bitter, malty, grain, yeast, alcohol notes. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbontion, more bitterness in the sweet aftertaste, smooth and a bit prickly mouthfeel, bit peppery on the tongue, alcohol well-hidden, too sweet for the style but quite nice, easy drinking.

Rating overgezet. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een gistachtige wat bloemige geur. De smaak is moutig, gistachtig en banaanachtig.
