Superb golden ale from the Maes brewery. Clear gold, strong complex flavours with a dry aftertaste. Not to heavy in body and quite lively. Should suit the British palate well. Best served in it's own glass. 8,5% alc. Serving temperature 16 •c

330ml bottle. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is Belgian yeast, floral woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, yeasty, dry, floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. A solid Belgian Blond and up there with the top beers of this style.

Look: clear gold with a large and pretty white head of excellent retention. Aroma: malt, candy, hay, corn, apricot jam, spicy yeast, distant old hop. Taste: medium sweet, malt, apricot jam, candy, spicy yeast, esters, moderate alcohol, old hop, light bitterness. Hoppy aftertaste. Palate: full body, moderate carbonation. Overall: not brilliant of course but absolutely ok.
