Gusher. Aroma has ripe fruits, apricot and toffee. Also some hay. Flavour is odd with hops, toffee, mint and grapefruit. Finishes with herbal bitterness, gooseberry bush leaves and some alcohol. Too boozy, not good.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Not quite sure what happened with the guys below, but my beer was completely fine. Pours chestnut brown, with a nice nuttiness, a slight sweetness with a touch of dark fruit. It is nice, but I don’t quite think these guys have the style nailed yet. ESB is a deceivingly difficult style to do well and this needs a bit more work.

Bottled. Cloudy amber brown. Hig head. Very grassy, vegetal, some caramel, minerals. Sweet malts, mineral, some grass and veggies. Probably off. Extremely highly carbonated. Medicinal and not good.

330 bottle from Dogenzaka Shinanoya. Pours hazy copper with a massive brownish head. Foam rises very fast, so I even have to stop pouring for a couple of minutes. Aroma is thick with acidity, there is malt and there is some wine-like fruitiness, some grass. ESB is supposed to be maltier and hoppier than a normal bitter and I guess this is also true here. The beer feels quite bitter although there aren’t many hop aromas in the forefront. It also has a strong body, you can’t really drink this as easily as water or your usual bitter. Some fruitiness and caramel in the middle, long bitter finish. Not bad at all - but would like to try this one straight out of brewery, somehow I feel that I am missing out a bit.

Old rating, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Lett røsta lukt med preg av røsta malt, humle, røsta nøtter og kaffi, gras, karamell, sjokolade. Lett sødmerik røsta smak med preg av lettrøsta malt, humle, gras, karamell, røsta nøtter og kaffi, våte blad. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Kjedelig.

Bottled, BB 30 09 13, supposed to be a large sample, but didnt finish. After opening with a large tsssh, it waited for 3 seconds to came gushing out of the bottle. Quick pour made me hardly spill anything though. Cloudy copper color, big frothy off-white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma has some caramel malts, some sulhpury yeast, slight metallic. Letting it breath a bit improves the aroma and gets rid of most of the metallic notes. Dry, sharpish taste. Some sweetness from malts. Seeing some other ratings, bottles can be better.
