In celebration of the fall harvest. Here's an autumn favorite that's as enjoyable as pumpkin pie. This hearty ale is brewed with cinnamon, allspice, cloves and vanilla. Look for a full body and amber color. We're sure you'll enjoy this special brew.

355ml bottle. Pours a copper/amber colour with a nicely proportioned head which does fall away though. The nose has roasted spicy vegetables - parsnip, or pumpkin, I presume - against a creamy malt background. The taste has more of the spicy vegetable but this time it’s all within a big toffee body. The palate is medium bodied in structure, with a creamy middle section texture and the finish is ok, cleaning reasonably well. Overall, this is good fun!

12 oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors, Westborough, MA. Amber with an off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, malt and nutmeg. Flavor is much the same with a dry finish. Average carbonation. It really isn’t full bodied, maybe medium. Nothing wrong with this but… nothing about it that makes me want another glass. Meh

My grocery is out of things I haven’t tried except I found this in the back. Pours dark over ripe pumpkin brown. Nose is typical pumpkin spice and so is taste. Allright .

Bottled. A red beer with an off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of pumpkin as well as a good deal of cinnamon. The flavor is sweet with notes of pumpkin and cinnamon as well as lighter notes of malt, leading to a dry and spicy finish.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white micro head quickly recedes to skim surface. Cinnamon, clove and vanilla aromas. Dry with sweet cinnamon upfront turning slightly sour in the lasting clove finish.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours amber with small off-whiate head that dissapates pretty quickly. Aroma is pumkin with some spice, medium carbonation, good lacing, and medium body. Taste is malty pumpkin and some allspice.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear amber-brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Aroma of cinnamon and spices. Medium- to full-bodied, solid malty background with lots of spices, mainly cinnamon and clove, hints of vegetables (pumpkin?). Well balanced and very nice beer with a christmassy touch, probably beacuse of the spices.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, amber to copper colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Quite spicy and slightly toasty malty aroma with a touch of caramel and subtle fruity notes. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly toasty malt-character with bearable spicy (cinnamon, ginger) notes, hints of caramel and some fruity and slightly veggie-like pumpkin accents; medium-dry, moderately spicy and slightly fruity and toasty finish with light medicinal notes. Drinkable but definitely not a must. 12.IV.10
