With a great, gleaming moustache, knee-deep in a woodland mash tun, Jack D’Or the barleycorn conjures himself into beer. Helped along by the other “Pretty Things”, the mischievous hops and yeast – a magnificent fester will no doubt ensue! One of the most joyful transformations in nature, better than any rabbit from a hat, beer is the result.
Jack D'Or is a saison americaine: a belgian farmhouse ale with American hops. Dry, bitter, and contrary, this is a beer for all seasons. Available year round, for fun times and happy days. Cheers!

Golden with a white head. Zesty aroma of citrus, light yeast spice, light floral, and a hint of sweet malts. Lively mouth. Bright citrus, yeast, a bit funky, lightly spiced, and fairly fresh tasting. Really enjoying this saison.

22oz Bottle. Pours out a cloudy golden topped with a whiter head. Aroma was lemon zest, spice, pepper, barnyard, and some belg yeast. Taste is as the aroma with the spice and citrus leading the way. A very well make Saison for sure.

Bottle in Philadelphia. Pours clear gold. White head. Nose and taste of hops, yeast, lemongrass and orange zest. Very hoppy. More so than most saisons.

Bottle, thanks to ekstedt!Sampled on April 1, 2011Slight bit hazy pale yellow color, color reminds me sort of urine after you’ve had a few beers, big white head. Fresh, hoppy, some banana esters, sweet scent. Spicy, banana, bitter, hoppy, sweet taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Malty and dry bitter aftertaste.Nice and drinkable.

Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration,spicy, peppery, citrus, hoppy.
