The first beer we developed was called Keikoppenbier, referring to the nickname of the inhabitants of Poperinge. We brewed this beer for the first time on November 9, 2011. The very first brew in our own brewery!
In our first beer we wanted you to be able to taste our story so three varieties of hops are used. The combination of these hops gives the beer a distinctive hop aroma and provides a good balance with the used malts.

Bottle kindly shared by Rubin77 at a tasting in his flat. Easy drinking, well attenuated, well hopped with citrusy resiny hops. Dry moreish finish. Good one.

Pours hazy orange/light brown with a medium white head and a lot of floaties - not very nice. The aroma contains dough, yeast, citrus, orange peel, grass, hops, hay, but also something soapy. Initial flavour is light bitter, only light sweet inbetween, with an astringent finish. Medium body, thin texture, soft carbonation. Quite dry. I almost didn’t finish it.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey golden colour with huge, soft foamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Grassy, herbal, slightly earthy, hoppy aroma, hints of peppercress. Taste is dry, grassy hoppy, slightly herbal, hints of peppercress, an oily touch of parsley, subtle biscuity malty sweetness with vegetable touch, cabbage; tangy hop bitterness throughout. Green, elemental, rural. Definitely interesting.

Hazy, orange colored, floaters, medium off white frothy head, nice lacing and good lasting. Aroma is of malt, bready yeast, fruity (lightly banana-ish), bit spicy, lemony and grass. Taste is medium- sweet caramel, malt, bit bready yeast, some fruit, slightly lemony and grassy, medium bitterness. Medium- bodied, soft carbonation.
