The first beer we developed was called Keikoppenbier, referring to the nickname of the inhabitants of Poperinge. We brewed this beer for the first time on November 9, 2011. The very first brew in our own brewery!
In our first beer we wanted you to be able to taste our story so three varieties of hops are used. The combination of these hops gives the beer a distinctive hop aroma and provides a good balance with the used malts.

(Bottle, 0.25 l - Lot 2013 A1 - BBE 01/2015, at One Pint Pub, 20130701) The beer poured muddy orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spices, caramell and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, fruitiness, grass, malts, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, yeasty and bitter. A quite weird flavour profile but not bad. Drinking more than 0.25 l would be somewhat difficult

Bottled@HBF2013. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, spicy, wooden and also has some mild citrus notes. Flavour is fruity, spicy, yeasty and some slight sweet maltyness. Balanced, and quite smooth to drink.
