Can from Carrefour, Nice. Clear reddish-brown, no head. Has a slightly gritty taste whilst remaining pretty ordinary. There’s some sweetness, but not much and some smoothness in its texture, but again only a smattering of this. Not much chocolate evident if at all. Its strength is not evident.

On tap at a cafe in Paris. Pours a clear medium brown with off-white head. Aroma is subtle malt. Flavor is moderate low bready malt and slight semi-sweet chocolate. I rather enjoyed this beer.

Can & swing top bottle, 0.50l. Clear amber brown color with medium creamy off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, toffee and herbal hops. Taste starts with sweet caramel and mildly roasted malt, follows by fruity acidity and light bitter finish. Medium body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Very decent brew, positive surprise for sure...

Beautiful mahogany with a single finger of light tan head that, sadly, dissipates quickly. Initially rich and malty, with a good bit of roastiness following quickly. No hop balance, but a hint of roasty bitterness to balance the malt. Has a distinct grain flavor, like that of grains being steeped for brewing. A hint of mild cigar tobacco, and a bit of caramel. Quite good. An excellent high-end session beer.
