Clear caramel colour, white head. Aroma of malts and candy. Sweet malty flavour, caramel. Sweet finish, red fruits. Not my cup of tea.

Almost opaque deep reddish brown colour, minimal brownish head, lot of bubbles. Aroma caramel, toast, roasty, herbal hops, bit earthy, touch of vanilla. Taste medium sweet, slightly bitter, light-bodied, slick feel, soft carbonation. Smooth bittersweet and malty finish but not as sweet as one would expect, very nice beer

Courtesy of BelgBeerGeek. Thx! 25 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. BBF 04/2013. Cute little bottle. Reddish amber with little head. Smells of sweet malts, oddly reminds me a bit of a lager, iron, spices & brown sugar. Taste is sweet malts, liquorish, iron, sweet bread, caramel, brown sugar, light bitterness in the back. Thin carb. light, bit simplistic but certainly better than anticipated.

Flaske 0,33l på Les Jardins du Capitole, Nice 12 Okt 12. Dyp rødbrun. Høyt tett skum som varer noen minutter. Litt fester seg til glasset i nivåmerker. Svakt søtlig karamellaroma med innslag av plommer. Myk munnfølelse. Sammensatt smak. Litt frukt, litt krydder. Svakt syrlig ettersmak. OK men blir vel søt.

One of my favorite French beers. Smooth for a dark beer, flavor is bittersweet and mouthfeel is just right. Some fruit and nut character with the dark grains thrown in for good measure. Magnifique!

330 ml bottle @ Les Distilleries Idéales in Nice. Nice, clear amber body with an off-white head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Flavor is pretty straightforward, sweet slightly dark malt and light roasted caramel, not much bitterness. Medium body and medium aftertaste. Decent and quite pleasant when pale lager is the only alternative, otherwise a bit one-dimensional.
