Hazy muddy brown color, small white head. - sahti-like outlook. Grain, straw, toffee and some spices in the nose. Quite basic saison. Dry, not very spicey, slightly earthy. Hides ABV totally. Not the best efforts from Fantome.

Huge, dirty-yellow & tenacious head over fully hazy amber to chestnut beer. Mintchocolate, coloured malts, rosemary and cypress aroma’s. And even some fresh (EU)hops. Roasted taste, ever so shortly moccha, but finishing in a dry tobacco flavour. Nose becomes intenser whilst drinking: like a toiletsoap for men, with pine & cypress, apples. There’s another very marked presence I cannot name. Pleasing taste. Medium bodied at least, some grist slickness, creamy & velvety MF, the large head helping. A good Fantôme: the dark ones I either hate or love. This is definitely the latter category.
