Goût légèrement sucré puis ferreux, amertume présente, le goût de prunes fraîches avec lesquelles elle est brassée, est présent mais discret. Personal contribution. 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. Pours opaque orange which just seems like a very odd colour for a prune beer for me, reasonably big white head. Nose is thick yeast, spices, hay, slightly bitter, sweet white sugar, white bread, not really getting nay prunes,… Taste is very heavy on white bread, and very thick yoghurt, creamy yeast, slightly fruity but apples and not prunes, following by some hay, bitter herbs, lots of sweetness, towards the finish and in the back, I am getting some sugary prune jam, very sweet jam and not actually fruits. Some almost candy-like sugar coupled to the yeast. Body is very yeast. Expected a bit more from this one but it is okay.

750 ml bottle. Pours an orange brown with medium persistent head. Funky dough/yeast, wet basement aroma - not very appealing. Coppery dried fruit taste with additional flavors of malt, chalk, and a bit of cheese. Not for me...

75 cl bottle. Rated on 4.10.2008
Sweetish aroma has plums and cherries. Flavour is a bit sweetish too and it has plums and sweet malt. One weird brew, I’d say. 7+3+6+3+13 = 3.2
75 cl bottle vintage 2008? @ Timo A, BBE 2011?
Aroma is sweetish with aged raisins and toffee. Flavour is sweet with lots of sugar and raisins. Also some toffee. Not very fruity, feels like a typical Belgian strong. Leathery palate. Surprisingly well preserved. 7+3+7+3+14=3.4.

Plum beer doesn’t really sound like a delicacy, but this is in fact good! Sweet flavour, works better when not so chilled. Might end up on my Xmas beverage list.

Bottle sampled at Dunbar Liquor Boutique, pours hazy dark amber. Aroma and flavour of strong plums, with a noticeable but well-incorporated alcohol kick at the end. Well-refined fruit beer.

750 c&c from Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours hazy, dark red tinged amber. Aroma of fresh plums. Medium body with mild carbonation. Unfortunately the fresh plum aroma tastes more towards prune juice. Interesting stuff, and I think I will work into full enjoyment. Finishes somewhat towards bitter. Good experience.
