Aus der Flasche. Gold-Gelb, feinperlinger Schaum. Hopfengeruch, etwas Zitrus. Antrunk vollmundig, prickelnd. Geschmack unauffällig in der Mitte. Leicht malzig, bitter, getreidig, würzig. Abgang bitter.

Bottle at home. It pours clear yellow with a thick, foamy white head. The nose is mellow, white bread, cracker, flour, grain and cereal. The taste is crisp, grassy bitterness, straw, grain, sweetish white bread, cracker, touch of paper and some soapy lemon notes with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall its fine. A reasonable lager bier.

Bottle. Clear dark yellow/gold sporting a conventional white head. Aroma and taste of grains, grass, metal with herbal and floral hops. Basement bitterness. Strong carbonation. Being an industrial northern German Pils it is what it is. And I‘m fine with it.

Mar ’15. A 0.5 l fliptop bottle from some supermarket in Berlin. It poured pale yellow body with quite a big head. Herbal and lemony aroma, grainy/honey malt and a bit dusty but not bad. Flavor was moderately bitter, herbal hoppy and lemony towards the finish. Malt was honey and bread, all pretty rough and grainy, but it blended fine. Medium bodied. Lightly sour in the finish, with some even lightly unpleasant notes. I made a joke that’s the "Küstengerste aus Schleswig-Holstein", as it’s stated on the label. Anyway, that coastal barley didn’t do so well, although after all ups and downs, it was a pretty decent for a macro pils.

Clear poisonous yellow with big white head. Sweet grainy aroma, some earthiness. Taste is grains and bitterness. Very bitter finish. Nothing in the back to balance the bitter hops. North-German Pils. I don’t understand why people like these so much ^^
