Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Bottle thanks to my friend Johnny: Poured a hazy golden with white head. Aroma was dank buddy hops. Taste is light hops and grain. I feel that this was a bit past its prime and had fallen off, just by the overall hops character.

Bottle from Beergium.com. Amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, sticky, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, flowers, pineapple, berries, grass, pine, biscuit. Taste with the same aromas, with a nice, smooth malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, with grapefruit, pine and some berries. Tasty! Pretty bitter, but still very well balanced with both, lots of fruits and smooth malt notes, crisp and easy to drink. Great IPA!

Bottled August -13. From Mikkeller Beershop. The fucked up thing by buying beers online. Bottle @ World Cup Tasting @ Hallinghansen. Pours hazy dark golden with a creamy white head. Sweet caramel, peach and mild pine. Smooth and dry. Full bodied. Quite malty. Okay!

I had a couple of ~2 oz samples at the Boulevardia Taps & Tastes in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is hazed orange golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is tropical fruit; pineapple, mango all a bit floral. Caramel malt is also present, though behind the hops. The taste is bursting fresh pineapple mango floral hops, bit of straw, and then caramel malt grain in the back. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and drying hops in the finish. The hops really stood out at the festival, I had been on sours for awhile, and this was a great change of pace.

Pours hazy amber with a small fading head.Nose shows honey, sweet malt, grassy hops and some floral notes.More grassy and piny hops as flavours along with some soft clean malt leading to a dry, sharp finish.Carbonation seems a little extreme.

Bottle. Amber with an inch of white head that last and laces well. Aroma of passionfruit, nectarines, grapefruit. Creamy texture with moderate carbonation. Sweet hay and grass, nectarine/ peach just a little caramel, lots of grapefruit, some tropical and herbal notes, pine emerges at the fairly bitter finish. Lovely vibrant beer.
