Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Hazy amber beer with a tidy white head. Palate is slightly soft and semi dry. Sweetish malt base, dry. Floral - piney hops, nicely balanced with mild citric hops, tangerine and a little grapefruit. Touch of lemon. Finishes semi dry. Not bad at all.

Bottle from Pibar, Lausanne, bottled Aug 2012
Amber color, clean, with medium sized head. Very nice aroma, it has fruity hops, some citrus fruits, delicate malt and light biscuits, all well blended. The mouthfeel is quite dry, which introduces in the best way the superior citrusy character of this beer, and luckily the crystal presence is very light; it has a good bitterness level, and a resiny final; well balanced anyway.
I guess that when fresh it would be excellent.

Pretty Things Meadowlark Bomber bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours hazy reddish golden with a small offwhite head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving some trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and fruity with toffee, grapefruit juice, dried apricot, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon grass, pine needles, cedar, dried lime and hints of caramel. Taste is bitter and fruity with bread, toffee, pine needles, cedar, grapefruit juice, lemon zest, orange zest, dried apricots, unripe mango, green tea and dried lime. Mouthfeel is tiny crisp, slightly round, slightly astringent and medium bodied. finish is bitter and tiny fruity with crackers, toffee, pine needles, grapefruit juice, dried apricot, cedar and lemon grass. A great tasty IPA.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of saxo. Pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Fresh, citrusy hop accents in the nose. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness but the solid and crisp hops soon take over. A little dusty perhaps. 050413
