33 cl. bottle sampled @ Bier Circus: dark brown with a slight red hue & tanned head, smells sticky sweet, pear (mainly), prune & touch dark berries jam, lots of liquorish, hints of chocolate, taste is lots of liquorish (drop), pear syrup, black candy, sticky dark malts, molten black sugar, prunes, seemed like a good mix but this was really a messed of concoction of lots of liquorish (in a not very fun way) & pear syrup, sticky body

Bottle. Pours dark red. Off white head. Nose/taste of pear, black currant, chocolate, florals and malt. Dry short finish. Thinnish body.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein. Green hay and musty barley malt aroma. Amber color with a nice head. Dry lemon peel and hay malt flavor. Medium body. Unbelievably light for the ABV - okay but not great.

Bottle at the first German local RateBeer tasting at Wasaba in Idar-Oberstein. Courtesy of Bierkrug - thanks! Variegated amber color. Aroma of rising bread and caramel. Taste is sweet malt. Plain.

bouteille 33cl partagée avec Tomaz. Concept intéressant que d’utiliser du sirop de Herve dans une bière, et le résultat est bien intéressant. Ambrée avec une légère brume, mousse beige. Arôme est simple sur sa base, je trouve que l’ajout du sirop donne une bonne dimension. Garde un aspect caramélisé et poire ainsi que une fine note de houblon fleuri. En bouche, on ressent tout de suite le fruit et sirop de Herve laissant en bouche une couche sucrée, sirop de poire avec un malt qui est un peu pils ainsi que des fleurs de houblon. En fait, c’est un peu ce sirop de Herve qui sauve cette bière de tomber dans ma banalité.

Draft at Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Dark amber with a small creamy white head. Nose is fruit, hops, malts. Very exotic in a nice way. Some slight sour and yeasty notes. Whether the sourness was meant to be there was quite hard to figure out. Perhaps the sirup. OK

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Big gusher, dirty brown colour with floaters. Some pear on aroma. Like a malty oaky pear cider. Different and definitely interesting. Good condition. Pretty odd, but not too bad. The pear bit is ok. Odd, but I like the eccentricity of it.

bottle. Hazy brownish colour, large beige head. Fruity nose. Medium-bodied, malty with some spices and a touch of fruit. Dry and hoppy in the finish. The 8% alcohol are hidden very well.

33 cL bottle. Started to pour somewhat pale - yet ended up almost hazzlenut brown to orange, unclear. Lacing white head. Spiced and orange to citric fruity aroma. Flavour is quite citric with a brief initial spice note. Citric flavour with a mild malt presence and light spice note. Not sure this is fully as intended though.
