Bottle from Den Nordiske Ølhandel, Copenhagen - hazy almost cloudy amber coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste tropical and citrus fruity, big hoppy and malty, caramel, toffee, orange, grapefruit, pine needles, good mouthfeel, hoppy bitter finish.

Bardzo dobre tresciwe slodowosci mnostwo, piana niestety srednia. Aromat chmielno trawiasty. Kolor przybrudzonej szarej pomaranczy.

Nice and potent imperial from Norway, bottle from Brewer’s Haven. Cloudy orange/amber in color with lasting creamy, but stiff, head. Hops in the aroma, but even more so in the taste. What a kick! Surprisingly smooth, but with a punch and touch of alcohol warmth.

Bottle from Nina’s Edinbrurgh [160613] Bottled 16/01/12
Dark amber, some haze, streaming carbonation from glass bottom, big frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma - very soft orange, some soft citrus, soft sweet fruity malts, quite light aroma, some alcohol
Taste - Soft sweet quite fruity caramel malts, touch of orange, mellow citrus, dab of spicy hops, alcohol quite noticaeable, mellow smooth malts
Palate - Medium carb, medium to full body, very oily texture, smooth malts. Finish as main flavour, sweet bit orangey caramel malts, warming alcohol
Overall - It’s old now and has lost it’s hoppiness, quite boozy but smooth and easy to drinking. Drinking more like a quite decent barley wine now.
