500 ml bottle from HWC. Batch 434 which apparently is from January 2012? Well it tastes like it. Again, I am not sure about the date of bottling. This is not a good beer. Pours a cloudy orange color with a tiny white head. The aroma is oranges and dust. Sweet British hops, odd almost sour bitterness, light sweet malts. Really a mess. Hot, oddly unbalanced. Now, I suspect this is quite old. A date would really help.

Bottle from the Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Poured a cloudy amber colour with a thin white broken head. The aroma is rich, floral and alcoholic. The flavour is strong bitter with lots of hops and spicy bitterness on the palate. This really is a first rate imperial IPA. Track it down if you can!

Flavor is hoppy with a decent bitterness, orange peel notes, malty and light yeasty. Smooth, creamy and dense on palate. Bittery aftertaste, light dry and moderate alcoholic final. High body.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy and murky dirty beige color ale with a medium foamy head with limited retention and some light lacing. Aroma of earthy hops with light citrus notes are dominant though feels a bit flat. Taste is also dominated by tired earthy hops with limited floral or bitter characteristics. Body is full with medium carbonation. Too bad the brewer is ending out of IIPA across the pond as even fresh ones sometimes don’t travel all that well.
