A hazed golden wit with a thin creamy white head. Aroma of orange peels, light cloves and madera. In mouth, cloves and oily malt, spices remain well in mouth, herbaceous, still in good shape. BB 04-07-09. Tasted March 31 2010.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a white head over a barely hazed golden body. Aroma is sweet, floral and perfumey, with honey, jasmine and orange peel. Great aroma, taste is less convincing. Taste is spicy, with floral and honey notes. A little bit of wheat harshness. Medium to high carbonation.

Very nice example, stuck half way between the German and the Belgian versions of the style, more citrusy, so closer to Belgium. Decent.

Thanks to Akevitt for sharing. coriander, wheat, and citrus aroma. Same in the flavor, but there are some hops in here. Bright color, cloudy yellow. A medium sweet wit, with all of the classic flavors and the interesting addition of the hops. Very good.

Pours a cloudy straw approaching amber, with a inch high head that shows great persistence.Lots of herbal and earthy hops on the nose, along with the more tradition sweet orange peel, coriander, wheat and lemon. Perhaps too much hops, especially for the style.Flavour is equally hoppy, as well as lemon and wheat. Much more bitter than expected.Good lively carbonation.

Bottle 50 CL. Apperance; Yellow, cloudy with a fast dissapearing white head. Flavor; Yeast and wheat, sweet. Flavor; Sweet fruits and malt with a light bitter ending. Tested 27.03.2009, best before date: 12.03.2007 Bought this at Ølutsalget Tromsdalen where they told me that they store the Nøgne Ø beers for a few years after the best before date is over, so the aroma gets better. So I emailed Nøgne Ø to get that confirmed, and they said that their beers last longer than the best before dates. Best b: 20.03.2007, tested 13.03.2009,

Offered by the owner of Bar & Cigar, in October ´07
Brewed on 15.07.2003, therefore rather old
Cloudy light amber color; huge head. Very nice aroma, perfumy, malty, Belgian, showing some age. Medium mouthfeel, sweetish, a bit malty and spicy too, lightly fruity, worn out by the yeast, so that it becomes thinner at the end. The final is light and dry, with a very light touch of vegetables. Incredibly it still has a fresh, dynamic drinkability. Interesting experience.

Cloudy, light yellow, medium white head. Yeasts, spicies, lemon and some coriander are found from the refreshing aroma. Lemon, corinader seeds, spicy, even peppery flavour. Very smooth to drink that gives nice balance in to bittery flavour. Aggressively spiced witbier with lot of flavour and nice balance.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy medium yellow color ale with an average foamy head with OK retention and no lacing. Aroma is dominated by loads of coriander with some very light wheat malt also discernable. Taste is also dominated by some coriander with some light traces of wheat malt. Body is definitely too thin even for the style with some average carbonation. This one is OK at beast but mot something I would go for very often.
