Saison Rue is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned, Belgian/French-style farmhouse ale. This is a beer of subtlety and complexity, with malted rye, spicy, fruity yeast notes, biscuit-like malt backbone and a slight citrus hop character. With age, this beer will dry out and will become more complex with rustic notes of leather and earth from the contribution of a wild yeast strain. Being a saison, Saison Rue is ambiguous unto itself as it is a different beer when fresh and when aged.

Bouteille datée de 2016, bue le 20-12-2022... Un nez de paille, une mousse super intense. Très peu acide, et bien ronde pour le style. Je l'ai beaucoup aimée.

Bottle from the early days of Terreux. Pours clear golden orange, medium off-white head, very long lasting, good residual. Aroma is Brett, dust, hints of apple, earth, lemon, basement, oak tannin. Flavor is not really tart, but a nice Bretty funk; just a hint of finishing sharpness. Medium light body. Quite tasty.

Bottle thanks to Rasmusott. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head. Aromas of brett, soap, citrus, ripe orange, woody notes, apple mosh. Taste is goddamn bretty, apple mash, citrus, orange, some alcohol, elderflower, some dry notes.

Bottle at Gainsbar. My first Bruery beer. Orange amber colour, small white head. Aroma is weird, boozy, herbal fruity. Taste is cloves, booze, bit spicy, fruit again. Bit full on for a saison. Nice but too tough going for a saison in my opinion. And too much clove for me.

hazy golden to orange colour, large, dense off-white head; aroma of canned sour cherry, earthy-wine cellary and some floral-honey notes, bread; taste of dried sour cherry soaked in alcohol, slight dark chocolate notes vinous and mold notes, bread, some honey, lemon zest and wood; excellent saison; thank you very much for sharing, kapusil!

0.75l bottle. Hazy orange body with a huge and lasting white head. Tart funky aroma with lots of pepper and lemon zest with a bit of vinegar, toast and grass. Taste of bready malts, sour cherry, lemon zest, grass, mold and wood. Heavy saison. Makes me think of how thin the line is vetween wild ales and saisons. Very nice.
