Bottle sample at a tasting at Shapiro brewery. Thanks kerenmk. Hazy yellow, white head. Yeast, fruity esters, spiciness, some noble hops, some flowers, a bit sweetish, bitter finish, lively carbonation.

Bottle - I had not realized I've never rated this - this is slightly higher in sweetness up front than I like my typical saison, but it is excellently balanced, rustic, tingly in the mouth, bright citrus and straw, a light funkiness - tight but soft carbonation - finish of sweet melon and pepper - elegant and tasty.

Sampled @ Zythos Bier Festival 2018. A hazy pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of dry grassy hops and grainy malt. Taste of dry fresh grassy, soft floral grainy malt, easy to drink.

750 ml paper-wrapped bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Pale straw colour, huge white head. Pleasant aroma of spicy saison yeast, some fruity hints too. Spicy and fruity notes in the flavour too, with decent herbal hops. Very good beer.

Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish straw gold with 2 big rocky fingers of foam that linger. Wonderful nose full of grassy aromas alongside mineral, grain, spelt, hay and horseblanket and light banana. Dry on the palate, then some medium sweetness, candy sugar notes. Very active carbonation throughout. Pairs well with almost any kind of food. More hay and horseblanket with candy sugar as it warms. Balanced very well. As it moves towards the finish, lots of peppercorn and grain husk bitterness. Fantastic saison. --- Beer merged from original tick of Saison d'Erpe-Mere on 25 Feb 2018 at 17:57 - Score: 8. Original review text: Grassy nose with faint mineral, spelt, hay and light banana. Crisp and clean on the palate. Active carb. Balanced. Grass, peppercorns.
