Bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a creamy off-white head that dissipates slowly leaving good lacing. Aroma mainly of brett / Belgian yeast. Taste is tangy tart with brett, a bit of wheat, some fruit. Finish starts sweet and finishes tart. Tad of metal in the far finish. Full bodied and creamy in the mouth

RBESG ’12, Bratislava. Grand Tasting at Richtar Jakub. 75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, Surly Bird label. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of light funk, sweet apples, fruity, some Brett. Flavour is ripe fruits, light Bretty funk, light tart, alcohol, fenols and esters, light bitter finish. Medium bodied. OK I guess, didn’t really know what to make of this.

RBESG GT 2012. Pale golden body, quite misty. Fruity apricot malty nose, some apfelstrudel, milky, malty, soft orange. Something. Herbal? Emptyish sweetish lime taste, something illegible. Ok, cool bubblegum and banana notes, something illegible again. Quite likable overall.

RBESG 2012 Grand tasting. Very cloudy yellow colour. Aroma fruity, sour, wild yeasts, citrus fruits. Taste medium to heavy sour, medium sweet, medium bitter, nice combination. Finish medium sour-sweet. A bit too sour for me.

Distincly water chesnut like in a way that strongly invoked ’Deus’ but not as srongly flavoured as that beer, this is also more hoppy. Dry finish with a lingering and bitter water chesnut aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a thick lasting white head. Aroma has a nice tart cherry note with a brett funkiness and a bit of spice underlying. Flavor has much more brett funkiness with the spice and tart fruits taking the undertone.
