Gehaltvoll, wuchtig und voll im Geschmack. Ein wahres Fest für die Geschmacksnerven. Im Mund geballte und durch Eleganz gebändigte Kraft. Feiner, würziger Nachklang mit einer Karamellnote.

Dark brown colour, beige head. Malty aroma, bread dough, some light sweetness. Sweet malty flavour. Finish malty with slight tones of caramel and roasted malts.
(From 0,5L bottle @ RBBWG, Antwerpen. Bottle mentions 7,2%. Thanks for sharing, sebletitje!)

50 cl. bottle sampled @ RBWG 2012 – thx to sebletitje – amber brown with a medium white head – smells like caramel, malts & brown bread, sweet – taste follows in suit non-cloying sweet brown bread, pale lager type of malts, touch dark fruits, caramel, touch toffee, bitter aftertaste, some hops – body is bit fizzy, light and above medium carb.

50 cl bottle @ RBBWG 2012, Antwerpen.

Little head, dark-amber beer. Leafy, bready, but sweet-smelling too. Old wood in the background. Sweet, but not cloying. Bread, autumn leaves. Ending bready-malty, melanoidins and liquorice. Not very dense-bodied. Classical Dunkler Bock.

Bottled 500ml. -Dark amber coloured, small off-white head, dry almost stale fruity caramel nose (not promising much). The taste is almost the same; dry (overripe)fruits, caramel and quite alcoholic with sweet finish. Expected (much) better bock.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, brown sugar, honey, grain. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, honey, fruit. Thin body, soft carbonation. Way to sweet imo. 041011

Cute bottle with a screwcap, courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!) Poured a brownish/amber body, slightly hazy with a small off white head. Strong, sharp honey in the nose, grainy, sweet, light raisins. The taste... dogfood, light honey, malt, rosehip jam, slightly stele yet not unrefreshing. Sweet, balances out later on and becomes way more drinkable than it was at the beginning. Yay!

Bottle looks really good, beer in the glass very dark, almost black. Nice head. Starts not too strong, dry, soft malty, not roasty. Fruity-moldy notes in the middle. Finish too mild and too less malty, dry notes are dominating. Not my favourite!
