(Bottle 50 cl) Apparently a new and different recipe. Opaque, very dark brown with a deliciously, creamy, cappuchinoish head. Roasted and lightly burned, malty character. Good, full body with plenty of roasted malt and some sweetness. Vague burned accents that don’t leave the usual ashy bitterness. Quite neato. Thanks to Bierkönig for sharing. 160206

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark brown, but not opaque as such. Small, creamy, beige head. Aroma of burned caramel. Flavour of roasted malt, but smooth and mellow - not sharp and burned. Very limited bitterness. Pleasant. 120804

An unclear brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with main notes of chocolate, but also hints of wood. The flavor is sweet malty with lots of chocolate, but also some wood, and a slight acidity, leading to a dry finish.

A hazy brown beer though with a reddish hue, and with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by caramel. The flavor is sweet with chocolate being most dominant, but also some notes of caramel.

Poured so carefully by the host that it had no head; deep dark wine-red body. Deep, firm, sweet, chocolate, toffee and coffee aroma. Almost too sweet. Deep, sweet (again, I know) taste, of burnt, toffee, with chocolate overtones. Faintly watery. Fades into lingering burntness, with lots of coffee. Very nice, although too sweet, and perhaps too clinging, for a proper porter. In the end, this is quite good.

Bottled at RBESG. Near black. Sweet and roasty. Salty and tarry with notes of licorice and coffee. Surprisingly light bodied with clean mouthfeel and striking bitterness.

Bottled @RBESG’05 labelled as "brygg nr 0"
Hazy muddy brown, small tanned head. Strong aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Cold coffee and roast in the otherwise quite plain and thin body. Chocolaty aftertaste.
