Draft @ Common Manchester. From notes. Nose was lemon, lime and exotic fruits. Beautifully balanced. Taste was citrus, mango, papaya, leading to bitter, and beautifully positioned resin. Magnificent showcase for the hop, and one the first IPAs I have got excited about in some time.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is big Citra. The flavour is medium bitter with a lovely smooth, rich, nettle hop, citrus, slightly liqourice palate. The depth and rich consistency of this beer made it special.

33 cl bottle (9,7%) @ home. Bottled 02.04.2013, BBE 02.08.2013
Aroma is nice and hoppy with exotic fruits, some gooseberry bush, biscuits and caramel. Flavour has gluey notes, exotic fruits, caramel and some gooseberry bush. Also a feeling of alcohol. Aroma was nice but the flavour is a bit disappointing.

Bottle thanks to BenH! Label says bottled on April 2, 2013. Pours a cloudy yellow amber with a medium white head that dissipates slowly and laces well. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, pine resin. Flavor is subdued citrus, resinous, lightly sweet, a bit of bready malt, light bitter increasing to medium on the finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Drinks pretty hot, which is the only thing holding it back from a 5 on palate. Holding up quite well given the age (according to the label), and is quite a nice full bodied example of the style. Fairly well balanced with hop, malt and yeast notes present. I like The Kernel. I am definitely planning to visit on my next (and first) trip to London.

Draught @ CBC2013. Pours hazy pale golden with a small frothy white head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is fruity with crackers, grapefruit juice, alcohol, papaya, pineapple, cape gooseberries, freshly cut grass, lemon zest, orange zest, lemongrass, passionfruit, resin and hints of tropical fruit hard candy. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and fruity with crackers, white bread, grapefruit juice, lemongrass, mango, pineapple, papaya, passionfruit, lemon zest, orange zest, lemongrass, alcohol, cape gooseberries, pine cones, resinous wood and tropical fruit hard candy. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, round, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, white bread, grapefruit juice, lemon zest, orange zest, tropical fruit hard candy, unripe tropical fruits, freshly cut grass, pine needles and hints of resin. Similar to the Pale Ale but more of everything. Very tasty!

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lime jelly, pine and pineapple. Flavour of pineapple, lychee, lemon and mango. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Punchy and delicious. This is dangerously drinkable.

33cl bottle, bottled on 02.04.2013. Poured hazy orange with a thick, white head. Very floral aroma, sticky somehow, citrusy, hoppy indeed. Flavor has orange, grapefruit, some wood and herbal notes. Finish is very bitter with pine and citrus. Alcohol is very well hidden, you can´t tell this is almost 10%! High drinkability.

Bottle from The Beer Boutique, Putney, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Lovely fresh hoppy, citrus, grapefruit aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, grapefruit, citrus, pine, orange, slightly malty. Incredibly easy to drink, complex and absolutely delicious. Fantastic Double IPA from The Kernel.
