Bottle: Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, quickly diminishing off-white foamy layer; sweet dried fruits and sweet dark malt in the nose; full sweet flavour; sweet-fruity-vinous finish with a chocolatey touch in the aftertaste. Not bad, but a bit too sweet to be really great...........

(bottle, courtesy of Dixen & Hildigöltur) Cloudy, murky brown colour with a reddish shine and a short creamy beige layer. Sweet and sugary strong toast-malty aroma with dried fruits (plums)and lighter spicy notes in the back. Sugary sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Sugary malty, moderately toasty with dried fruity accents and a whiff of caramel; strong sweet and toasty, slightly vinous finish with a noticeable but non-disturbing alcohol. Very sweet but nevertheless likeable brew (10.06.08).

Little or no head, yellowish bubbles on cola-coloured beer. Sweet, (red or dark) berries, dark malts but restrained, shoepolish (in a nice way), and a very light tobacco-like finish. Maybe some molasses. In the taste very outspoken tobacco (strong dark as pipetobacco), also peanuts (unsalted but roasted), dark malts, hint of liquorice, brown candi sugar and molasses. Only medium bodied, drinking away quite easily despite lots of flavour(s). Here’s one I like. Reasonably complex, sweet but not overly so, interesting flavours but no spicecocktail. Top!

Pours dark brown with medium head. Strange ashtray aroma with some malt as well. Same strange ashy flavor. I hope this was due to bad keeping....

500ml bottle. Dark red body with a beige head. Aroma is sweet malt and alcohol. Not so much alcohol in flavor, more balanced. Rather sweet, candy sugar and some spices. A nice Christmas beer.

50 cL bottle. Pours unclear redish, plummy. Has distinct fruity aroma. Taste is very fruity (raisins, plum) and sweet. Too sweet for my taste - cloying.

Hazy amber color; creamy head. Fruity yeast aroma, a bit vegetable. Medium body strength, sweetish malt flavor, a bit on the vegetable side too, like pumpkin. Not bad.

Hazy dark amber color. Sweet malt flavor, light aroma, low bitterness, not thick as the sweetness may let imagine.
