0 33l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Hazy orange body, thin white head, lots of floating yeast particles. Aroma of caramel, honey, raisins, orange zest and some booze. Taste of caramel, toast, brandy, orange zest and booze. Quite sweet and boozy, but not bad.

Bottled 250ml. -from www.beershop.hr Dark golden coloured, small white head, alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and pretty sharp alcohol presence with also warming alcohol in the finish. One-dimensional boozy stuff. Few months out of BBE date but it doesn’t change much in general.

Bottle at PIB 2015, pours a hazy yellow blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast, alcohol, and candied sugar. Flavour is very yeast-forward, with loads of Belgian yeast that tingles the tongue, along with light candied sugar and slight alcohol. Not actually that offensive, opposite to what I was expecting. Not very complex but still clean. Decent.

Pues sí, pedazo de licor. Casi 3 veces mas que una lager flojita. Oscura, poca espuma. Brutal en boca, frutal pero envuelta en calor alcoholico por todos los lados. Algo de dulzor tambien... Pero alcohol... No esta mal... Pero alcohol... Tomese de postre.

A dark yellow beer with a white and quite weak head. The nose is malty and honeyish sweet, some pear like fruitness, and some alcohol. Taste is fruitful and malty, sweetness of honey an black peppers. Unfortunately, the alcohol cannot stay in hidden. Almost full bodied, low carbonation, quite easy to drink. Too much of bothering alcohol, but not totally ruined. Fruiful malts.

Famous ale from northern France, was once the strongest European beer at 15% ABV, since 2002 ’only’ 13% ABV. Yellowish white, irregular and loose but nevertheless and in spite of the alcohol strenght, quite stable foam, colour orangey amber, warm, clear. Lively fruity aroma of orange peel, pineapple and red berries, honey, pepper, cognac, caramel candy, orange liqueur, aniseed, meat broth, a vague hint of peat and a subtle smokiness. Taste begins with lots of sweet fruits, mainly orange and pinapple, even sugary, on a light malt base that becomes a bit more full in the middle, nutty and very caramelly, bit honeyish, finishing in a spicy, peppery but not very strong hoppiness, though the ’tail’ is mainly dominated by warming, brandy-like alcohol, which they somehow managed to keep from becoming truly astringent, though you will get an alcohol burn in the throat for sure. Perhaps too sweet and too strong for many, but I sincerely enjoyed this at the time; it seems the new "Extra Strong" version of 11.8% is a lot worse than this, but I have yet to taste that one. This one was still enjoyable and original, but it has of course been surpassed by many better super strong craft beers since then.
