Bottle on the Wibbly-Wobbly train during IoW Jolly. It pours near black with a small light tan head. The nose is rich roast, toast, treacle, cherry cola and mild soy sauce. The taste is roasted malt, toast, earth, cola, cocoa, mild acidity, coffee and chewy malt with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Straight-forward and easy-going. Solid.

2012-11-16, draught at Pazzeria, Milan, 5% ABV, 6-4-7-4-14=35
Black color, creamy brown head. Moderate aroma of roasted malt, lightly milky. Smooth mouthfeel, balanced flavor of roasted malts and dark chocolate, with a nice milky presence, relatively low bitterness, very good control of the roastiness.
2012-08-20, bottle courtesy of Jesper; batch L11277 09/12, 5.3% ABV, 7-4-7-3-15=36
Black color; generous head. Nice aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Highly carbonated, correct body structure, quite good chocolate flavor; ordinary bitterness.
Good as is; with less carbonation and more final it would be very good.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. Dark brown / bit black with a tanned / beige head. Smells of light roasted mocha, milk chocolate and some light sweet coffee with milk. Taste is that of bitter roast, mocha, milk chocolate, dark malts, light liquorice, medium bitter finish with some light booze. Body is a tad light, carb. is a tad high but enjoyable.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
