A seasonal beer only available in winter. It is usually presented on 7 December, the feast day of St Ambrose, patron saint of Milan. Over the years, this has become an important date in the Lambrate calendar - it marks the arrival of winter and the start of Christmas festivities.
In Milanese dialect, the term "Brighella" means "rascal" and is normally used to label particularly lively kids. It is inspired by a traditional masked character.

Nice golden color with small head. Very hoppy, a little bit of spices from the yeast as well, but that’s not really coming through enough. Still quite nice and better than expected.

Tap at Open Baladin, Roma, 09/02/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thinnish off white covering/pond. Nose is dark fruits, herbal twang, bitter orange, spice, earthy, boozey notes, red grapefruit. Taste comprises orange peel, bread dough, earthy, light booze, herbal qualities, tangerine, tangy tropicals, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet closure. Quite a sweet number, ABV well disguised making it a fairly easy drinker for almost 9%, though it lacks any great depth for said ABV.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. Clear golden / amber with a white head. Smells of sweet marmalade, oranges, light nail polish, booze. Sweet marmalade taste, fruits, caramel, thick malts, jam, light nail polish, touch booze. I am not surprised by their description that this is their most alcoholic beer.. Oily, creamy. Raw, unpolished stuff and not very Belgian either but I certainly enjoyed it and further than that my appraisals don’t go.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. Cuivrée léger, col fin beige. Arôme malté caramel, fruité noir léger avec une note alcoolisé phénol-pomme, le tout laisse apparaitre des notes d’épices de noël. Palais rappelle de suite ce côté festif, entre girofle, note herbacée presque de camomille et ce fini rappelant les pomme d’amour de part ce côté caramélisé. Pas mauvaise, mais garde cette impression que qcq chose manque pour mettre cette bière un peu plus haut.

A hazed amber ale with a thick light moka head. In aroma, a herbal sweet malt aroma with light off notes. In mouth, a light sweet malt, oxidation, curacao, herbal, boring. Bottle at Mondial 2011, June 12 2011.

Süßlich hellmalziger Geruch, leicht brennend, aromatisch. Fruchtig-hellmalziger Antrunk, hefig-hopfig, passend süßlich. Im Mittelteil leicht nach Kräutern, dann wieder eher hefig, fruchtig. Würziger Abgang (hell), angenehm. Aber als Winterbier... 10/10/10/9/9/10

Draught at Ørsted ølbar of Café on July 11, 2009Marked 7.5%Hazy copper color, tan head. Roasted, malt, alcohol taste. Grainy and apple aftertaste. Grainy, malty, alcohol scent. Moussy mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Draught, 9.0% at the brewpub. Birra stagionale di natale fruitata. Fruity aroma. Cloudy orange amber colour. Small white head. Fruity aroma, a little candy. Peppery, but not too alcoholic. Quite clean.

Bottle. 75cl. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, orange, moderate yeasty, brown sugar, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180408)
