Progressive Tropical Single Hop Barley Wine!
The aromatic characteristics of the Japanese Sorachi Ace hops mix with a surprising caramel aroma brought about by prolonged boiling, which also gives a fascinating amber tinge.

Trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher weißer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Früchten, Obst, leicht alkoholisch. So ist auch der Geschmack.

Bottle shared with Belgbeergeek Pours clear, dark orange , no real head . Smell is sweet, honey, fruity ( peaches ) Not much carbo . Taste is peaches , very much peaches, with some caramel touch . No sign of ANY ABV , drinks like its fruitjuice, but its 11 percent . that earns some respect, but tastewise, this is nothing for me . At all .

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 08/2013, at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20130523) The beer poured reddish brown and hazy. Its head was very small and white. Aroma had coconut, malts and perfumes. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were coconut, malts, sweetness, some dried plum and medium bitterness. Afteraste was malty and bitter. The beer may have been without the horrid Sorachi Ace.

330ml bottle @ Viisi Penniä, Helsinki

Pours dark orange with a tiny white head. Aroma of sweet fruity bubblegum, malts, sweet caramel and syrup. Taste is sweet and malty with notes of fruity bubblegum, hops, caramel and lots of toffee. Finish is sweet, syrupy, bubblegummy and caramely with some toffee and fruity notes. Still not a big fan of Sorachi Ace, which is quite dominant here.
