(Draught at De Grote Witte Arend, Antwerpen, 19 July 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with toast, dried fruit and apricots. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots, toast, a touch of caramel and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite nice and tasty.

25 cl. draft @ De Groote Witte Arend in an unmarked wine-type of glass – A: crystal clear golden/yellow with a white head – S: grains & bitter esters – T: bitter grains, wheat, hay, yeast, esters, dull hops, booze – B: light with slightly above medium carbonation – very bland beer, not particularly good or bad but I am simply getting almost nothing here

Poured from tap as De Arend Blond at De Groote Witte Arend. Good lacing from a tiny, white head. Deep golden body colour. Mild spicy smell and mid-dry fruits. Lemon and peaches to a candy sweet taste offset by notes of spiced bitterness. Medium bodied. Refreshing after a long walk (Antwerpen, 29.04.2011).

Bottled 330ml, ABV 6.5% (Tuulensuu, BB 02/2012)
Clear golden color, small off-white head. Caramel, homemade toffee aroma, maybe some spices too. Crisp carbonation. Medium-bodied. Fruity, clove spicey, a bit acidic flavor. Simple, Xmas(!)-spicey blond.

Gusher. Huge white head quickly collapses. Amber body with light carbonation. Spicy honey and caramel aroma with syrupy seeds of paradise and paper notes. Dryish (and faintly acidic) cinnamon and honey taste with mealy spicy notes. Thinnish body. Faintly astringent mouthfeel. Dry milky papery metallic aftertaste with cinnamon notes. Too thin and dry, possibly caused by light infection. Still interesting. (0.33l bottle, de Biertempel, Brugge.)
