We built our first brewhouse using recycled dairy equipment. We had to test our handywork, so we loaded it up with a heavy, dark Stout. That first batch was a 13-hour labor of love, and when we sipped the first bottle, we knew we had a keeper. With a nod to the West Coast, we balance Stout’s deep, roasted malt flavors with earthy, whole-cone hops.

Creamy, malty, and full-bodied, the Sierra Nevada Stout is satisfyingly rich. Caramel and Black malts give the Stout its deep, dark color and pronounced roasted flavor.

Bottle. This was a very average stout. Deep brown in color with a tan head. Best part of the beer. Aroma watery weak coffee. Taste watery weak, burnt toast and coffee.

great stout. these guys make such solid beer. typical stout. nice roastiness to it, with chocolate and somke overtones. SOLID.

Bottiglia. Al naso arrivano impressioni di caffè, cioccolato e liquirizia. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il mantello birroso superiore color marrone chiaro ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato. Il dolce è medio in buon equilibrio con l'amaro medio. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sul palato si attestano note di caramello, miele, cioccolato fondente, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca e agrumi.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is roasted malt, mild coffee, some caramel, pleasant hoppy notes, cocoa, mild milk chocolate, bit fruity from the hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium, slightly creamy. Ultra-smooth and drinkable, surprisingly hoppy, a great classic US Stout.

Can to glass. Pours black with dark tan head that lingers as a cap over the beer. Roast and chocolate aroma. Flavor is overt roast. Strong bitterness in the finish. Nice beer.

Bottle. Almost black. Aroma: American hops with floral-citrus + coffee-burnt. Taste: dark and burnt malts + good hops, pleasant and tasty.
