355ml bottle from Arras Christmas Market. Hazed dark brown appearance, good off-white head. Admirable Dubbel, big sweet kick with thick sweet malt, sweet candi sugar and luscious Belgian yeast. Comes together really well.

(Can) Pours clear reddish brown with good pale tan head. Aroma has notes of toffee and citrus and something metallic or mineral. Medium to full bodied with plenty of soft carbonation giving very good mouthfeel. Taste has plenty of toffee with notes of spices and some citrus tartness with a pleasant bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle. Clear brown pour with a big clumpy off-white head that has good retention. The aroma is strong with yeasts, herbs, cloves, apples and other indistinct white fruits. The taste has cloves, bananas, bitter walnuts, and breads. The palate is full and creamy smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering cloves. Overall: decent--top shelf dubbel.

12 oz bottle bought from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Aged about 9 months then drunk at home. It pours a light ruddy brown, clear with a full beige head. Chocolate, banana, some molasses and sourdough aroma. Taste isn’t oversweet as I’d expected, but nicely balanced with a spicy bitterness. Raisin and fig notes in the finish.body is fairly full with heavy carbonation. A delicious Dubbel.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a copper brown with a finger of off-white head that lingers. Lots of banana and love on the nose with some mineral notes. Crisp and dry with strong carbonation and mineral notes on the palate. Drying finish with dried banana and clove that linger.
