Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled.

A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Salt and licorice in the aroma. Roasty, salty flavor. hardly any chocolate, just a hint of dark chocolate, especially in the aftertaste. Powerful stout, maybe a bit thin, but aromatic and full of flavor.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een chocolade achtige geur. De smaak is zoet en melkchocolade achtig.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Shared with Anke. Pours cloudy black/brown with a lasting, small, off-white head. The aroma contains milk & dark chocolate, cocoa powder, roasted malt, some (pea)nuts. It tastes medium malty/chocolatey sweet and light to medium hoppy bitter; bit toasty, hoppy, shortish finish. Medium body, thin/slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Chocolate galore, if that's what you're looking for.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear medium brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, lactose, sweet milk chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, yet slightly watery, roast, liquorice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Improved greatly when it had had a little air.

Bottle at home. Deep brown coor, good beige head. Lots of chocolate in the aroma and taste. For me this would be a nice beer at a dessert with vanila ice cream.
