Muddy, ruddy colour. Thick wheat beer head. Very wheaty with some cocoa notes and light, vague hefeweisse fruitiness. Some pedio, hints of wheaty tartness. Ok balance. Not really a special beer, but it’s functional wheat. Same style as Ayinger Ur-Weisse or Schneider Weisse but not as good as either.

50cl swingtop - pours a turbid dark copper - fizzy, lasting head - nose of yeast, overripe apples, moderate acidity, light clove and orange peel - full, creamy carbonation - a decent amount of acidity up front quickly makes way for overripe pear and apple sweetness - the flavor is missing much of the phenols you would expect, but that turns out to be part of the beer’s appeal - lingering sweetness and yeasty character, but it’s fairly refreshing - a bit sweeter than I normally like my hefes, but still good.

Fancy swing top bottle. Pours a dirty brownish amber with a medium head and aromas of apple juice concentrate, a bit of oranges, bread and bananas. Flavor is uninspiring and watery. Tastes like the one part apple juice one part water mix you give to your kids in a bottle when they’re little. I’m wondering if this is old or if it just ain’t that good. Hmmm... looking more carefully at the bottle it says produced on: 03/08... I may have to find a fresher bottle and redo this one.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong-malty, fine yeasty, notes of cinnamon and nuts. Well balanced finish, fine yeasty. Very good beer!

bottle, pours hazy amber, tall off white to light tan head. Great aromas of bread, yeast and some light bannana notes. Creamy mouth with light carbonation lets through some nice light malt and light roasted malt with a light bitter finish that is more spice than hop. Not bad.

500ml stopper-corked bottle. Thick, unfiltered orange-brown color, more like a Dunkelweizen. Nice foamy head. Sweet dark malt and the Hefe-yeast balance each other out quite well, making a very enjoyable beverage. Quite mellow, with no alcohol flavors and bare minimum hops. Masterful malt and yeast flavors. I would love to have this fresh in Munich.

500ml bottle from GBBF. Murky cloudy muddy orange brown. Thick beige head. Very carbonated. Banana and malt aroma. Just the right cereal, banana, toffee balance in mouth. Tingling tongue finish. I quite like it, but i guess it is reasonably bland.
