500 mL swingtop from Once Upon a Vine, South Richmond, VA. Pours a very lightly hazy orange color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, toasted grains and syrupy stone fruit notes. Aroma is toasted malts, bread, light spice and weak grassy hops. There is a residual toffeeish sweetness in the finish. Medium bodied.

My bottle says bavarian lager on the front, not helles. Good mildly sweet smell. Nice pale slightly hazey look. Decent carbonation on the palte. Not real bitter and pleasantly surprizing. Hay and dirt somewhat. Farm pond water taste. A little creamy, in its own way, on the tongue and back of throat. Finish is not bad, no bitter aftertaste, repeatable. Glad I tried this one, one par for a lager lover. S6L3F2T6O12

500ml bottle. Clear filtered yellow color with just a tinge of green. Doughy, pleasant aroma. Rather straightforward and mellow, and down right awesome. This is a great Helles. Interesting light and sweet yeast/malt character, with barely noticeable, minimal, yet balanced hop balance. Wowsers, so creamy and smooth. The ultimate session beer. Sonthofen is starting to sound nice...

500ml bottle - Pours lightly hazy gold with a one finger white head. It smells of pale malt and some citrus fruit esters. The flavor is fairly sweet with mild fruit notes and some light hops. It’s easy drinking and while it doesn’t stand out in any way, I thought it was a good quaff though not really worth the premium price.

swing top bottle (500ml). -as Neuschwansteiner Das Echte from the souvenir shop near Neuschweinstein castle.
Pale yellow coloured, small soapy white head that went away very fast, sourish herbal nose. Slight malty, dry herbal and slight caramel with notes of vegetables and cereals. Not much of beer here, just souvenir.
