750 ml bottle Batch number E!041, Bought this in a charity auction this past fall, finally opening it with friends. Spilt during Willrunforbeer’s blueberry sour comparison tasting. Sort of a dirty pink Amber color without much head in the snifter. Aroma is white wine, oak, full Bretty notes and very weak berry.
Flavor is spot on the aroma, the flavors are subtle and very integrated extremely well. The berries are here but an afterthought and complements the Brett. Nice level of carbonation that gives a tingle across the tongue. Very light lactic notes but no pucker in the taste buddies. Very nice brew.

Bottle thanks to Hector. Pours a cloudy orange pink hue with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is blueberries, funk, lemon zest. Thin mouth with nice sour blueberry, lacto, nice puckering sour finish, really enjoyed this.

Bottle with big thanks to jtclockwork! Batch #E!041. Pours hazy orange amber, perhaps a touch of pink. Dusty rose, I like that. Last third of the bottle pours cloudy as the yeast and sediment start to mix in. Small white head that laces pretty well. Aroma is lightly tart, lemon, Brett, barnyard, fruity, earthy. Flavor is the same, light sweetness nicely balanced by tartness. Very fruity, but with an earthiness. Some wood apparent from the barreling. Light body, champagnelike mouthfeel. Nice beer!

Batch # E!041 which I believe is the most recent. Aroma is very fruity with lots of citrus, pineapple and other tropical fruit. There is also a moderate berry note and light cherry. The aroma has a medium low barnyard funk. Pours a fairly clear golden orange with some purplish highlights. Pours with a thin white head that quickly recedes but bubbles steadily rise to the top. Flavor is immediately tart but with a faint sweetness. There is a moderately strong berry character along with faint cherry. Light tropical frit and citrus compliment. Finishes very dry with a light barnyard funk at the end. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. The acidity is moderately strong but there is still a hint of sweetness. Overall a very nice blueberry sour, but the blueberry note doesn’t dominate. The acidity is clean and very lactic and the Brett adds a nice tropical fruit and citrus note. The blueberry is a bit faint so maybe better fresh.

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Cloudy amber beer, nice pink head! Light dry palate. Light blueberry tartness, in fact a little sherbetty because of the seltzer like minerals. Light dry finish. Approachable.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Many thanks to swoopjones! Pours cloudy pink with a fine, white head. Well and sour character with plenty of vibrant berries. Fairly dry. Extremely fresh.

Thx. to Rian / Thirstybird (still an awesome username). 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG 2012. Fancy bottle. Pours a bright fox red with no head. Smell is lots of sweet mashed blueberries with a lighter streak of lactic sour, light brett, lemon and sour green apples. Taste is bloody full of forest fruits, blueberries, soft mellow sourness, awesomely good, light sour malt leading into a light berries, lactic, brett, lemon, sour green apple ending, ending nicely tart. Rather full body for a sour but not full residual sugar or the bacteria not having cleaned it up, this is just fuller than usual, still sharp, clean, drying, yeah.

Bottle courtesy of mixylplik3, thanks again Matt. Pours a slightly hazy deep dirty copper color with a huge bubbly white head that sounds and dissipates like a bubbly fountain soda. Smells of tart berries, funk, and lemons. Sour and funky fruit dominate the nose. The bubbles jump at my nostrils like a glass of ginger ale. Sour and tart flavor grabs your taste buds and never lets go. Lemony tartness mixed with some berries and hints of artificial flavor. Medium body with moderate level of carbonation and a tart bubbly mouthfeel. I’ve had this in the past and remember it being bracingly sour, this time it seems a little milder. Very flavorful nice sour ale.
