On nitro tap at Standard, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish hue and a small white head. Aroma brings lots of toasted malt and toasted bready notes. Flavour is quite sweet, with loads of chocolate, brown sugar and residual sweetness. Big, boozy and sweet. Not as impressive as some of Standard's other big beers, but still nice.

Sampler at brewery. I’ve had this a few times overbite past 2 years. It’s definitely an impy stout, it’s not hop centric. The etoh is def felt. There is a alcohol sweetness. Given all that, there is a light fruity yeast character that stands out. It’s not syruppy, well attenuated body. If I want a 12% impy, this would be the one. Dark brown beer.

On tap at the source in Seattle-USA. Dark coffee bean pour, some caramel highlights and tick ivory head with drafts. Nose: mocha, a bit of spirit, terrific. Mouth: very smoky, delicious bbq, speck, a bit chili. Great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
