Amber gold with a fine white lasting head. Sweet - very sweet & deep malty aroma. Sweet - nearly cloying with a easy noticeable alcohol note. It has raisins & also a vinous feel. Still a bit too sweet & warm actually! couldnt finish a whole bottle!

Rich aroma of dark fruit - raisins, plums. Dark sherry color (and I thought that before reading the description). The white head flattened immediately. Medium bodied. Creamy carbonation. A bit of heat. Lots of darkish fruits. Indeed it is in the fortified wine range for flavor, though not for alcohol. Consider that this has the alcohol of those high gravity lagers, but notice the quality of the flavors - relatively speaking. The finish is smooth, neither sweet nor dry. Ends with caramel. Very impressive. It could pass for a Belgian ale, with the right presentation. It took some effort: "Malt concentration was doubled or tripled (the exact formula still remains secret), giving the yeasts more fuel for conversion to alcohol. Above all, since stunned yeast can only work very slowly in the presence of high alcohol levels, this beer would have to be given a lot of time. In fact, it had to be fermented in cold storage for an unheard of nine months! " A work of the brewer’s art.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear amber with a fast disappearing slight orange head. Heavy sweet corn aroma. Full bodied. Sweet corn flavour, slight berry fruity. Slight burning alcohol feel, clearly warming finish. Very nice.

bottle - Pours clear light amber with a thin head. The aroma is malt and some mild dark fruit notes. The taste is sweet, almost syrupy, caramel malt and light fruit notes. Full bodied, lightly carbonated, and with some definite alcohol presence, especially in the finish, I thought this beer was a good dessert beer, but not what I’d call world class.

Bottled. Deep golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is hoppy, malty and slight alcohol in a very nice balance. Flavour is alcohol, sweet malts and some hops, also in a nice mix. Even though being 11%, the alcohol is not disturbing.

Clear amber body with a creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and light malt aroma. Sweet syrupy caramel flavor.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear amber, no head. Lots of dried fruit, Concentrated flavour of bready malt, figs, ripe fruits and grass. Very full bodied. Sugary and somwehatsyrupy with some port-like characteristics. Fairly clean mouthfeel. Almost no bitterness. Very powerful, but not with that much finesse.

A nice deep brown,deep caramel malt, with spirit tones, deep caramalised malt with long deep malt fruit linger.

11.2oz bottle poured a clear copper with off white head that vanished in seconds. Nice strong malty and dark fruit aroma. I get semi sweet caramel, dates, plums, alcohol and a slight hint of olives. This has a nice rich mouth feel. At the start I get a slight hint of olive, some tasty caramel and solid dark fruitiness. By midway the caramel sweetens and builds. Beyond midway the fruitiness takes over somewhat with growing alcohol warmth in the background. All of the flavor notes listed on the label really came true for me. This beer just reached out and gave me a warm hug.
