Pours a hazy amber colour with a medium sized creamy off white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, caramel and nuts. Taste has more dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, caramel and nuts with some sweet honey but well balanced with a light earthy hop bitterness. Subtle warming alcohol also present. Alcohol extremely well hidden for 11% abv. Full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth thick sticky mouthfeel. Excellent Doppelbock one of the best I have tried.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of honey and resin. Flavour of raisin and prune. Medium to full body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Rich and boozy but lacks the depth and special quality of other beers I’ve had at this ABV.

Pours a decent frothy head, that disappears fast. Very malty, a bit vergetable-like. Thick, sweet, malty flavor with lots of warming alcohol. A peppery fruitiness (raisin and plums). Long, malty alcoholic finish.

Bottle pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is big sweet rich malts honey and a touch of hops. Taste is more of the nice sweet grain bread malts honey toffee.
